Disability, Avoidance and the Academy

Tom Coogan and myself have a chapter in this new book on academic avoidance of disability. We demonstrate how a sizeable body of research has developed in consumer research exploring disability that is largely divorced from disability studies. We presented this at the Macromarketing Conference in 2013. Our argument is that these two bodies of research and theory have much in common and could/should be talking to each other.
