Bob Cooper, whose pioneering work will be familiar to everybody involved with the CPPE, has died. Bob was an inspiration to many, particularly to those who were taught by him at Lancaster or worked with him at Keele. He was a smart and kind man – someone who did a huge amount to encourage people to think about philosophy, organizing and theory. His work was the subject of an early special issue of ephemera, an essay collection edited by Robert Chia, an influential analysis by Sverre Spoelstra, and many PhD workshops.
Bob’s funeral will take place on Friday. Simon Lilley, Geoff Lightfoot and Martin Parker are thinking about organizing an event or special issue to mark his life and work. Please contact Martin (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to be involved.
